Aims:
To involve community members in the process of mural making- Be that through creative brainstorming workshops, the blog or the actual painting
To work together with local business and others involved in the upliftment of Muizenberg
To set up the MuizenMural project in such a way that it can become a blueprint for other communities in South Africa. Have a look at www.muralarts.org to see the potential of a large scale city mural project as in Philadelphia!
To use enviromentally friendly materials
To honor the role that artists play in society and compensate them appropriately
To have fun and enjoy the process!

look around you..
The Artists of this project feel that any place where people walk, work and live needs to be inspiring, and creatively stimulating. Our senses awakened by our environment making us feel that its good to be alive:)
Just as we decorate our homes to make them feel more welcoming shouldn't our community environment reflect our own inner human qualities and values? - sadly there is not a lot of this in most urban environments- but soon to change with us around :)
We Took a walk through Muizenberg on Friday with a paintbrush in the back of our minds.the possibilities are endless ...
( I recommend you try this any time its really fun -take a walk around your neighbourhood and really see and feel where you live; If you don't like what you see; imagine how it could be transformed )
